Memorial Day Weekend

We took a trip to St. Cloud for the holiday weekend. Nicole ended up bringing Mason by my dad's house and Ava was very intrigued with having another baby around. We were also able to get a picture of Randi, Ava and me at my mom's house, sitting on my Smurf picnic table. This table has been around for a LONG time and we thought it would be fun to take a picture of us all with it. It ended up being a busy weekend but was great to see family!

9 Months Old

As most of you know, we have been very busy trying to take care of Ava and her constant ear infections. This picture is way overdue and I missed her 8 month as time got away from me. Ava weighed 18 lbs. and was 26.5 inches long at her 9 month check and was a healthy little girl other than her ears. We met with an ENT last week and it was decided to get ear tubes put in. We had her surgery today and I am happy to announce everything went well and now it is a waiting game to see if the fluid doesn't build up anymore. We are hoping this is the answer to everything as Ava and her parents are exhausted. If everything continues to go well, hopefully I can update this blog more often and let you see what a big girl she has become!

Exhausted

Ava ran a very high temp for most of the week last week, trying to fight an ear infection. On Wednesday when her fever finally broke, she was able to catch up on some much needed sleep and ended up falling asleep in the living room after supper. I couldn't resist taking a picture as we will probably never see Ava this still again :)

New Discovery

First Easter

Ava enjoyed her first Easter. She got some new Little People toys from the Easter Bunny and then hunted for eggs at Great Aunt Sue's. She even found the egg with the $1! Such a lucky girl.

Standing!

Ava is in the process of learning how to stand up on her own using different objects around the house. We video taped this on Thursday and she has already progressed to having this pretty mastered with this little chair. She is now working on standing in her crib and using the couch for help. We will have trouble on our hands soon!

Sitting By Myself

About a week and a half ago, Ava's body caught up with her head and she was able to sit by herself. Jon and I were in the kitchen and turned around and there she was sitting in the dining room all by herself! She seems a lot happier now that she can get around on her own and sit and play and see everything around her. This milestone along with her crawling ALL over the place, has really been keeping us on our toes!
