Ava's 6th Birthday

We celebrated Ava's 6th birthday this past weekend.  She had a bunch of her friends over for a "See What Frozen Things Do in Summer" themed party.  Everything turned out great and we had the perfect weather for it!  I went a little overboard with the Frozen themed snacks (as the kids were really just into the cake and cupcakes) but I had fun on Pinterest!  Can't believe our "baby" is 6 already!  The time flies but we couldn't ask for a better kid!  Love seeing her grow!

Easter 2014

We had another great Easter.  The weather couldn't have been better!  Ava was up bright and early (not different than any other day) :) We tried coloring eggs for the first time ever and while Ava picked one of the most complicated color dying kits EVER, Jon figured out a way to make them work.  She enjoyed her egg hunt Easter morning along with finding her basket full of goodies.  The Easter bunny had lots of new hiding spots this year which made the hunt last a little longer :)  We then headed to Jon's aunt and uncle's house for a wonderful brunch, followed by another egg hunt.  Ava found one of the eggs with a one dollar bill AGAIN (I didn't get a picture), she's found one every year since we've been coming.  She definitely has some luck her mama and papa do not.  Ava loves spending time with her cousins and adores Bella and wants to be just like her.  It's been different for her not seeing them everyday while we lived with Donna so she enjoys these times even more! Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas!  We spent Christmas Eve with Jon's family this year and Ava got lots of cousin time in! She opened more presents and got to play with all her cousins and was exhausted when we got home.  But not exhausted enough to sleep in this morning ;)  Santa arrived and Ava must have been very good as she got 2 of the things she wanted most on her list.  An American Girl Doll (Target version) and a dollhouse.  She wanted this dollhouse so much last year and Santa wrote her a note and told her it had to wait until she moved and he delivered his promise this year!  It was our first of many Christmas' to be spent in our new home.  Ava and I are off till after the New Year so she'll have plenty of time to break in her new toys!

Christmas in St. Cloud

We had our St. Cloud Christmas this past weekend.  Lots of fun and family!  We even got to see the Great-Grandparents!  Ava got lots of nice things and enjoyed opening presents.  Two of her favorite gifts are her new diary with a lock (so it begins) and her new Barbie car!  Off to some more festivities today and then Santa comes tonight!

Home Sweet Home!!!!!

We finally closed on our house last Friday!  We are so excited and have spent the last week getting settled in.  Ava started her new daycare this past Monday and the teachers said she had no problem adjusting and is making friends easily!  She can't wait for school to start in a couple of weeks and we can't wait to get settled and have time to explore the area.

Getting Closer ...

The house is moving along fast.  Since they haven't locked the doors yet we have been able to take Ava by a few times to walk around inside.  She is getting excited about the house and today when we went through she remembered which one was her room which she was very happy about.  We get our close date this week and it appears it will be right around the time we thought as Ryland continues to impress up with how fast they can put up a house!
