We had another busy and enjoyable Christmas this year. Ava enjoyed all the great gifts she received and had lots of fun opening them all up!

Santa

We went to visit Santa at the Burnsville Mall today. Ava was SO excited. She told Santa what she wanted and sat like such a good girl on his lap. When we left she asked us when Santa would bring her Alphie and her Pillow Pet. It might be a long month.

Ava's New Room

Ava decided she needed to move into a "Big Girl" bed this past month, so we figured it was time to get her a "Big Girl" room to go along with the transition. We are still putting some finishing touches on her room but she seems to be liking it so far.

Ava had a party to celebrate her 2nd birthday this weekend. It was a beautiful day (a little warm) but everyone was able to come help her celebrate. Ava enjoyed seeing everyone and had a lot of fun Sunday playing with all her new things. Thank you everyone for sharing in Ava's day!

Memorial Weekend

We stayed home this Memorial Day for the first time I think ever. We had a nice weekend playing outside and getting some much needed house projects done. Ava enjoyed playing in her pool most of the weekend. Sorry, there aren't many pictures of her face she isn't too into the picture taking lately.

Jon's mom and I took the kids to the Minnesota Zoo on Friday. While the zoo was crazy busy with people, the kids still enjoyed themselves until we got rained out :( Looks like we will have to make another visit to the animals!

The Biggest Loser

Ava had the flu last week and since we all know she is not the biggest kid on the block, we have been trying to get the pounds she didn't need to lose last week back on her, so tonight she weighed in and we're happy to report she is about a pound shy of her "pre-flu" weight. Yeah!

Abby Cadabby

For Christmas from her Daycare provider, Ava got a pair of Abby Cadabby socks (Sesame Street character for those not familiar.) She wore them for the first time this week and did not want to take them off for bath, so once she was in her PJ's on they went.
