Long Weekend

Last weekend was very eventful for Jon and Ava and so this is how they spent Sunday afternoon.

New Blanket?????

Ava helped pick out a new bath mat today and insisted on taking it to nap. When I went to turn her fan on, here is what i saw.

CCB Family Day. Ava loves a good Bounce House!

Betty at my work has been telling me Ava needs a pony for about a year now. Well, this week she showed up with one for her. She got it from a daycare behind her house that was getting rid of it and it is now a new addition to our house. Ava LOVES him, momma and papa think he's a bit large for the house :) She's named him Magnus after the horse on Tangled and he even makes noise and moves his head and tail.

Picking "flowers." We have none in our yard which has Ava telling me everyday, "I wish I had yellow flowers in my yard." But the foreclosure house next door has way more than enough to go around.

I am slowly getting used to the new camera Jon and Ava got me for my birthday. I was getting SUPER frustrated with our other one as I kept missing shots and as you can tell from the non-blog updates I kind of quit taking pictures. Right now I am just getting used to taking simple photos, learning how to zoom and change the shutter speed. Hoping as the summer goes on I can learn some neat "scene modes."

Easter Weekend

We spent Easter in St. Cloud. Ava had a lot of fun looking for eggs and getting her Easter baskets from her grandparents. She got lots of good stuff and of course lots of candy too (which she thinks she needs for breakfast every morning now). Maybe next year we won't have to wear hats for the egg hunt!

Edinborough Park

We were going to head to the Children's museum today but then remembered it was State Hockey Tournament weekend and knew better than to go to St. Paul. So instead we tried a new place in Edina called Edinborough Park. It's a big indoor park with things to crawl on and slide down and bounce in. While they had a toddler area it was geared more for older kids so we will have to bring Ava back in a few years. She did enjoy burning some energy though while we were there.
